  • Involved in the ITM 6.1 Beta program with deployment installations and customizations, including custom Universal Agents
  • Installed and configured custom deployments of ITWG (Web Gateway for CM) including all Linux implementations, and integration with ITAM (Access Manager)
  • Developed several custom ITM 5.1 Resource Models in jscript/VBscript for various clients, including troubleshooting and resolution of existing RMs, whether custom or out-of-the-box.
  • Wrote RMs based on deployable configuration files which utilized regular expressions for determining monitoring parameters based on endpoint values (Interp, IP, Hostname, etc.)
  • Implemented, configured, and performed troubleshooting for various versions of web servers including WAS (WebSphere Application Server), Apache, HIS (IBM HTTP Server), and IIS.
  • Delivered strategy for batch conversion of Patrol KMs to ITM RMs.
  • Deployed soup-to-nuts implementations of core Tivoli, including ITCM, ITM, TEC, TEDW, TMTP
  • Extensive work in TEC rules optimization – development and customization methods of various operations tools.
  • Developed a process to notify via an Exchange Server agent using VBscript agent I wrote to accept notification tasks from TEC.
  • Wrote a flexible notification process based on custom tables in TEC DB, including notification groups, member notification methods, and member/group/event scheduling.
  • Developed a custom process to build DNS based fact files mapping subnets and support groups to geo-regions including rules to update gathered data to custom event attributes.
  • Extensive work with Remote Control and custom policy methods.
  • Deployed or performed troubleshooting for several implementations of TEDW.
  • Installed TEDW enablement packs including ITN, DI DB, WI, TMTP, and TEC.
  • Developed numerous tools and help scripts in Perl, Shell, JavaScript, and Prolog for custom processes, troubleshooting/diagnosis, migration, etc.
  • Wrote ProfileManager analysis script to run series of idl and obj methods for determining invalid subscriptions.
  • Wrote TEC dump analysis script for tuning purposes, analyzing event flow, and frequency.
    • Developed an XML stylesheet and wrapper script for HTML presentation of ITM ProfileManagers. Wrote Perl script to report various aspects of ITM/DM environment including subscription status, types of profiles distributed to endpoints, and status of monitoring agents.

·         Under contract for Tivoli Systems, Inc., developed an upgraded version of Tivoli Workload Scheduler Extended Agent for PeopleSoft.

  • Integrated ARS for Remedy with TEC enabling two-way integration of events and trouble tickets. \Development of Tivoli tasks and web CGI to view TEC event information.
  • Implemented TEC classes and rules for in-house applications of SNMP trap-based events.
  • Designed and developed a Software Distribution process for managing staged development efforts on test/QA systems featuring roll-back and fall-forward capabilities based on code acceptance.
  • Performed integration, stress/scalability, regression, and patch testing for DM 3.6.1 and TEC 3.6.1.

Team Lead of Tools Development, DFS Custom Support, and AIX Development, 1992-1999

  • Wrote functional verification test suites and code fixes (APARs) for AIX 4.10 standard C library (i.e. find, date, etc.).
